T'ai Chi Ch'uan
T’ai Chi Chu’an, the Grand Ultimate Fist, is known as a softly moving meditation – but it’s roots lie in a powerful martial art. This class utilizes the beginning of the Yang style t’ai chi developed bye Grandmaster William C.C. Chen, and explores the body mechanics and movements that create it.
These movements have powerful lessons to teach us about our bodies and how to move with grace and power. This class is a practical class on utilizing the lessons of the martial arts and t’ai chi to learn to relax our muscles, use our bodies more efficiently and improve our balance.
Each class will study one or two movements of the form, look at the mechanics of the movement and how we can utilize them to learn to move better and more comfortably in our lives.
